THE new Covid-19 rules introduced today has led to a care home in Rushden in Rushden having to cancel a fete to raise money for Dan Brawn, who underwent surgery in Thailand last week.
The fete will at Victoria House, in Victoria Road, Rushden, was due to be held tomorrow, (Tuesday), but organisers said: “Unfortunately due to the change in COVID over the weekend we are going to have to cancel anyone from the public coming tomorrow. The fete will still take place but it will be in house only. The raffle will still go ahead and the list of winners will go on Facebook.
“I know people are going to disappointed as am I, but its out of my control. We are still raising for Brawny and encourage people to still buy tickets-we have some great prizes!’
