Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, (NHFT), is holding a Community Nursing recruitment day on Saturday, (May 7), from 10am to 3pm at St Mary’s Hospital, London Road, Kettering.
The day will provide an opportunity for both newly qualified and experienced nurses find out more about working with patients within the community, to meet some of the current team as well as having the opportunity to be interviewed for one of our available roles on the day.
As a community nurse, the role involves assessing the healthcare needs of patients and families, monitoring the quality of care they’re receiving, being professionally accountable for the delivery of care and utilising technology to update records in real time.
Patients could be of any age, but they’ll often be elderly, while others may have been recently discharged from hospital, be terminally ill or have physical disabilities.
The service aims to provide an excellent standard of care that supports patients to remain in their home environment.
In Northamptonshire you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the service and focus on delivering quality outcomes and improving the patient experience.
Rachel West, Director of Community Healthcare at NHFT said: “This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated and highly motivated professionals to join our team to provide high quality, safe, compassionate care in patient’s homes across Northamptonshire.
“If you’re a registered nurse or working towards registration, with excellent communication skills, good judgement and problem-solving abilities, then we would like to hear from you. You will be part of a caring team, with flexible working patterns available.”
